Triathlon Club Mark for Putteridge

Putteridge has just become the first Club in the East Region to be awarded club mark accreditation for Triathlon!

Triathlon England has worked with Sport England to develop the TriMark Club accreditation system. The aim of the accreditation is to support, sustain and maintain a network of high quality triathlon clubs. The TriMark Club accreditation process is open to all community clubs that are affiliated to Triathlon England.

TriMark Club accreditation is a three tiered system; TriMark Club Bronze, TriMark Club Silver and TriMark Club Gold. At each level there are a range of rewards and benefits open to triathlon clubs that meet the criteria and have been awarded the accreditation...

Entry open for GO TRI PSC Duathlon

Putteridge Swimming Club is holding its Go Tri Duathlon on Saturday 11th March at 09:00 am at Inspire Sports Village, Luton LU2 8DD.

Registration starts at 08:00 on the same day and all abilities are welcome from age 8 and upwards.

The event includes a 2km run, a 5km bike ride and a 1km run.

Enter now to receive a special discount entry fee of £10. Entry is £13 on the day.

Putteridge Go Tri Luton Event

GoTri Luton is a triathlon race Putteridge Swimming Club are putting on at Lewsey Pool on 3rd September 2016.  This is a GoTri event aimed at beginners to give them a go at the sport.

The race will be 200m swim, a 2k cycle off road around the surrounding park, and a 1500m run to finish.

Success for Putteridge Multisport Squad around the Country

The Weekend (11th June) saw Putteridge Athletes compete in various events around the UK.  Matthew Haden (Pictured) came 4th in the latest round of the GB Biathle series in Cheltenham, sporting the new Putteridge Tri suit.  As was coach Jonathon Hoggett when he took the victory in the Bedford Sprint Triathlon with an incredible bike leg to boot.

Up North in Leeds as part of the British Championship weekend Sophie Pedder came 9th in the Youth division Aquathlon Championships.  Frankie Durbin took 3rd in her Age group in the Sprint Triathlon.

Matthew Peck, new to squad from the mainstream swim squad has taken naturally to triathlon coming 3rd in the Stowe School tri star triathlon.

Great work guys, putting Putteridge Multisport on the map!

Triathlon is one of the fastest growing sports in the UK.  The sport itself covers the three elements of swim, bike and run.  Putteridge SC has experienced triathletes coming from different backgrounds in regards to swimming. Swimmers (current and former) who have decided to take up triathlon and Triathletes looking to improve the swimming element

Putteridge SC offer tailored swimming programmes for its triathlete members that complement the bike and run training in their programme.  We are also offering guided bike rides on an ad hoc basis and group runs.

We have a number of coaches qualified in coaching triathlon with a further two members as level 1 tri coaches and a Swim Smooth Coach within the club.  We also have two further members taking the Level 1 qualification in 2015...
