Coronavirus Update

A Swim England statement last night stated all Swim England competitions are now cancelled till May. For those clubs who have meets scheduled it is down to them or their facility to advise and/or cancel

Swim England stated last night that clubs can continue to train and work alongside their facility provider.

There are daily changes and early this morning, Jane Nickerson, CEO of Swim England stated:
“I appreciate there are many interpretations on what should now be happening re training and @Swim_England club sessions. We are taking more advice today and will issue updated guidance re training and clubs as soon as we can.”

In the meantime both Luton Borough Council and Active Luton have the normal measures in hand and are promoting hand hygiene and showering before entering the pool.

We in contact with Inspire and Lealands and will inform our members as and when the situation changes. The Government is advising on a daily basis following their Cobra meetings. Announcements are being made around 4.45pm each day.

We hope you will be patient with us and apologise for any short notice cancellations that will be out of our control. All lines of communication are still open.

We encourage you to follow news on the club’s website and on twitter as this seems to be the fastest means of communication.

Please follow current guidelines: if one person in your house has symptoms the whole household should self-isolate for 14 days. Keep up your hand hygiene.
