Putteridge Piranhas are swimming in the fast lane after the announcement by Luton Borough Council over plans for a new aquatic centre in Luton. 

The new facility would include a 10 lane 50m pool with dividing boom and additional 25m pool with diving facilities, a centre large enough to cover the needs of Luton's swimming clubs with greatly improved facilities.

Ingrid, Mike and Richard all attended a meeting held by the Leader of the Council last night where the news was announced.  Ingrid said, 'We were all very excited by the plans and hope to see them come into fruition by 2012'.

Charlotte Kelly, Jamie Fowler (Juniors), Amy Burns, Cameron Woolsey (Youth), Penny Kelly, Liam Hargadon (Adults) took top honours in their catergories at the clubs sponsored Biathlon on Saturday 11th October. The Biathlon raised over £800 so a big thank you to all who took part, those who sponsered and the organisers.  The funds will be spent to support the club's presentation evening, the medals and trophies and a laptop to be used at competitions and galas.
