Luton Sports Network Awards

Putteridge Swimming Club had a great night on Friday at the Luton Sports Network. Head coach Lesley Batson retained the Head Coach of the Year award following another unbelievable year seeing the club grow and expand as well as achieve National Success in the pool and in the multisport squads.  Lawrence Palmer won Sportsman of the Year following his wins in the 50m Breaststroke at the long and short course British Championships in 2015.  The club were also recognised for the work they have done with introducing swimming to children in the community on the ASD spectrum.  They had a fantastic night and loved going up to collect the award with Lesley (Pictured above).  The awards have really reflected the hard work put into the club and the success it is seeing as a result.  Congratulations To Lesley and the coaching staff and to Lawrence for their efforts!

Matthew Haden also received awards for volunteer for the year and official of year for the work he has done for Putteridge by qualifying as a swim judge, officiating in swimming competitions.  He attended the National Talent 4 day camp up at Loughborough as part of his development.
